I can't believe how time flies by so fast. Half of 2020 is already gone! A lot has happened during the first half of the year but sometimes I feel like I also didn't do enough. Seems like time is fast but the actions aren't. Maybe because I wasn't able to accomplish what I supposedly accomplish based on the time frame I set. I haven't even updated this blog for more than eight months. There's just so much around that I barely have the opportunity to think about this hobby.
We needed to resolve several issues concerning our house construction, my husband went through surgery to remove his gallbladder, the expensive hospital expenses, the challenges of moving in to our new house, my own health scare, and the fear this Covid-19 brings. I've been paranoid since the first positive case in Iloilo and all I did was over think. There was even a time when I needed to work my ass off in the garden to divert my mind off the issue the world has been facing since the beginning of the year. It's exhausting especially during my husband's recovery period since I needed to be the runner of the family, the only person of the family authorized to leave the house during quarantine period.
But despite this ordeal, I am beyond grateful that my asthmatic son haven't had asthma attacks this year. Not even allergic cough! The cough medicines I secured before the quarantine period remains unused. We are also fortunate enough to live in the province with open space for us to be outdoors without the threat of acquiring Covid. We have stable source of common vegetables like malunggay and camote leaves, and our son has the means of exhausting his energy by running around.
Most of all, we still have our jobs! Nothing's changed with our job set up and I hope we'll still have it until we all get through this pandemic.
As of now, we're still working on a website we are collaborating with a client. I also purchased a domain I hope to turn into an information site about Iloilo. It's still a work in progress and definitely needs a lot of improvement. I'm not even halfway done. I only get to work on it for around 30 minutes to one hour a day so it will surely take me a long time to finish it.
My other site, the one about Iloilo wedding is still up but not updated as well. With the wedding industry (along with tourism and many others!) are struggling, I'm having second thoughts about keeping it. But I think as long as there are still page visits, I'll probably keep it.
There are only a few months left before the year 2020 ends and I hope things will start to look okay for all of us, especially those who are greatly affected by this pandemic. I pray we all recover from this and lead "new normal" lives.
