I thought I already found my holy grail contraceptive pills in Lady. But after almost a year of using this brand, I decided to try another brand as it started to make my breast painful almost everyday while taking it. Too busy to see my Ob-gyne, I searched the web for reviews of different brands and I decided to try Diane-35.
Switching to Diane-35 was a tough decision to make because of its price but I was hopeless to get rid of the pain I'm feeling with my breasts and was paranoid that the pain may lead to something more serious so I went for it.
Use
Based on the leaflet that came in the box, the first pill should be taken after the seventh day of your pill-free days (for 21-pill pack) or the day after you took the last pill of the previous pack (for 28-pill pack). It can also be taken on the first day of your menstrual period or any day of the month as long as you are not pregnant. It's best taken at the same time each day.In my case, I started taking Diane-35 the day after I took the 28th pill of Lady. During the succeeding months, I took the first pill after the seventh day of my pill-free days since Diane-35 is a 21-pill contraceptive.
What I like about Diane-35
- I have an irregular period but just like other contraceptive pill brands, Diane-35 made my period regular.
- So far it hasn't cause negative side effects like dizziness, nausea, pimples, weight gain, appetite loss or something. It actually made my face less oily and smoother than when not taking the pill.
- It's not affecting my mood either.
- It can be purchased in various drugstores nationwide.
- It's made by Bayer, one of the largest pharmaceuticals in the world.
What I don't like about Diane-35
- It's expensive! One pack costs Php 690. It's the most expensive brands I have tried.
