Hello everyone! It's been a long while since my last product review. I actually have lots of products to review but I didn't have time to do so. As what I've said in my past posts, we launched the website for our passion project and revamped the website for our other passion project so it's taking so much of my time. Thankfully, the sites are almost done now so I might be able to blog more from now on.
In this post, I will be reviewing about my current moisturizer - the Mizon Multifunction Formula Snail Recovery Gel Cream. I learned about this product through my curiosity about Kbeauty. I've been reading reviews about it being ideal for people with oily skin so I got one for myself with high hopes that this will end my search for my HG moisturizer.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- Mucin in snail secretion helps to repair damaged skin and give clear and smoth skin. The snail gel cream absorbs quickly thanks to the fresh and lightweight formula and reinforces skin repairment.
- Hyaluronic acid in the formula gives skin rich moisture and keeps skin smooth all day long.
- Centella, portulaca, and grean tea extract prevent skin troubles and protect skin from the outside harmful factors while soothing skin.
- Adenosine, the certified wrinkle care ingredient, improves fine wrinkle problems. Peptides and 5 kinds of vitamins firm skin.
- The formula is free of artificial coloring, fragrance, and paraben to minimize skin irritation.
REVIEW
Packaging and Appeal. The moisturizer comes in a pink plastic tube with white screw cap. While I have nothing against this type of cap, I would love it if the product comes in an easy-open cap.
The moisturizer itself is gel-type, as the name implies. It's a bit opaque and has no sparkle or glitter. It isn't oily but still easy to apply and massage to the skin.
Effectiveness. The main reason I got this product is its claim about being ideal for people with oily skin. As what I have observed after three months of daily use, this moisturizer indeed delivers its promise. My face isn't as oily when using this as compared to when using other moisturizers. It is lightweight, not sticky and I love that dewy look it gives my skin. My face feels brightened when using this even if I lack sleep. I also noticed that my wrinkles are already finer and not as noticeable as before. I hope it can whiten pimple marks too!
I also love that Mizon Multifunction Snail Recovery Gel Cream did not cause break out or purging.
Scent. The moisturizer is lightly-scented and disappears within seconds.
Ingredients. The moisturizer contains snail secretions (of course) containing mucin that is said to repair damaged skin. It also contains Hyaluronic acid, centella, portulaca, green tea extract and adenosine.
Price. The price varies from Php 300 to Php 500. Some Shopee sellers sell cheaper products but make sure to choose those marked with "preferred" to guarantee authenticity.
Availability. This product is not available in my city so I usually buy online.
