I love tomatoes! I love it in my sandwich, salad and even just tomato alone. Aside from being savory, tomatoes are loaded with Vitamin C to help make our skin healthy. So it's no surprising when there are now skin care products with tomato content such as Skin Potions Tomato Juice Serum.
Actually, this is not the first tomato skin care product I have used. I've had experience with tomato soaps before and the effects are quite okay. I couldn't remember, though, the exact reason I stopped using them - must be boredom, too drying or they just stopped working alright. Whatever the reason maybe, I don't think it was breakout. So when I discovered this through BeautyMNL, I got interested and didn't imagine I'd get pimples after using this. But, did I? Keep reading to find out the rest of my opinion regarding this serum.

Packaging and Appeal. The product comes in a transparent pump bottle. Since it is serum, it has a runny consistency that is easy to spread all over your face and neck.
Effectiveness. Out of the products I ordered from BeautyMNL, this is the one I'm most excited about because it has lots of positive reviews. Aside from that, it is also organic, locally-made and affordable so if ever it'll gonna work on my skin, it won't break my pocket in the long run. I started using it once a day and increased it to twice a day one week after. The first three days of use, I already noticed a few small bumps coming out but I paid no attention to it because I was in denial since I wanted the product to work. I continued using for another week but I noticed that the bumps (now larger) are not getting any better and my face gets itchy each time I apply the serum. There was even a time when I needed to wash my face again because I cannot stand the itchiness. I started to get frustrated of the result and my husband's comment about my face looking burnt made me decide to ditch the product to give my skin a rest.
I gave my skin one week rest from this supposedly good product but when I used it again, I got small bumps again just after one use so the bottle is now sitting idly on my drawer. I made up my mind not to use it on my face ever again. I sometimes use it to moisturize my hands and feet just so not to waste the money I used to buy this product.
Scent. The serum may not be effective for me but I really love its smell. It smells so sweet I want to drink it. 😁
Ingredients. Skin Potions Tomato Serum contains natural ingredients including tomato and aloe vera extracts for bright and glowing skin.
Price. The 30ml. pump bottle costs Php 280. It should have been very affordable if only it worked...
Availability. This product is usually available online. I got mine from BeautyMNL but it is also available in Shopee and other online sellers.
