Boracay is home to the world-renowned white sand beach. Given its popularity, it also became the home of hundreds of hotels, resorts, inns and guesthouses to accommodate thousands of tourists. From budget-friendly accommodations to five-star hotels, they got it there in Boracay. So if you're a first-timer, choosing where to stay in the island can be quite challenging especially if its peak season.
During our trip there to celebrate our son's first birthday, we stayed at Madid's Inn, a budget-friendly accommodation in the heart of station two. We stayed there for three nights and four days and here is my review...
Location
As what I've mentioned above, Madid's Inn is located in the busy station two. The white-sand beach is like five minutes away from the beach though it is not visible in the main thoroughfare since it is situated inside an alley where three or four other budget-friendly accommodations (Tan's Guesthouse, Eriko's House, Shenna's Resort, Villa Simprosa) are located. Restaurants, coffee shops and souvenirs shops are just a few minutes away.
To find this hidden gem, look for E.S. Pascual Store and 928 Cafe and Grill (beside Island Souvenir). In between, these two shops, there's a small alley leading to these budget-friendly accommodations.
Rooms
Since there's only me, my husband and our baby, we got the twin sharing room (Php 1500 during low season, Php 2,000 during regular season and Php 2500 during peak season). Other rooms available are quad sharing (good for three to four persons) and family room (good for six persons).

I'm not sure if all twin sharing rooms are located on the third floor but it is where ours is. I am not really particular about this but with a baby in tow and the stairs from the second floor to the third is a bit steep, it was a bit of a challenge for me to go up and down. Also, the walls dividing the rooms are not made of concrete, probably thick plywood or something, hence outside noise can be heard inside our room. Same with the noise from upstairs. We can hear if someone from the room above ours pulled a chair.
The bed is okay, it fits the three of us (I'm slim built while my husband is medium to large). Anyway, the three of us love to cuddle when we sleep so this didn't really bother us. The toilet/bathroom is spacious and clean. For me, the only thing the room lacks is storage for our clothes and other stuff. All throughout our stay, our stuff are all over the chair, table and yes, on the floor, and with a little boy keen on exploring the world, it was easy for him to reach everything. Hooks should be added in the bathroom as well.
Room is equipped with cable TV and hot/cold shower.
Amenities and Services
Madid's Inn offers free wifi and the signal is okay. There's no cafe or dining area available.
I'm not sure with other rooms but ours weren't cleaned during our three-night stay there. I think we have accumulated a fair amount of sand and dust inside the room. 😁
Staff
The staff and I think the owner (the one who entertained us when we checked in) are friendly and approachable. I remember I asked for an extra pillow and blanket and the staff provided them free of charge. We arrived way earlier than the check in time and they suggested that we leave their bags with them in case we want to go somewhere to eat, explore, etc. Our stuff are all intact when we returned, no missing items.
Conclusion
Madid's Inn is an ideal place for people who are looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly place to stay in Boracay. It is accessible to everything - restaurants, coffee shops, banks, souvenir shops, etc.
